Bob Flicker
“Stroke Survival – Keep Plugging Away”
Bob Flicker joined East Penn Manufacturing/Deka Batteries in 1971. He has had various positions throughout his career including Chief Engineer, VP of Engineering, and Chief Operating Officer until he retired in 2021.
Bob earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Moravian University in 1971 and a Master’s in Physics from Lehigh University in 1974. Bob has earned many awards and recognition not only in his career, but also within his acts of service to the community. Bob suffered a stroke on November 4, 2018, leaving him severely weakened on his left side.
Bob knew at the time, based on his symptoms, that he was in the throws of this health event and time was of the essence. Bob will share his story, the recovery process, the importance of support, and a message of awareness and encouragement for those suffering from or caring for those affected by a stroke.
