ITNLehighValley is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides dignified transportation to people aged 65 years and older and people of any age who are visually impaired. We have been in operation since 2014 as an affiliate of ITNAmerica who provides some support and the software system for affiliates to enable the basic mapping and invoicing of rides. Our service is unique in that the drivers use their own cars and employ an arm-through-arm, door-to-door service. Thus, drivers do not simply pull into driveways. We go to doors, help them down steps, carry items for them, bring groceries in, and provide other necessary assistance to ensure the safety and security of the riders. In short, we treat them like our own parents or family members who need assistance in mobilizing.
